Silvergate Capital Corporation (NYSE:SI), along with its wholly-owned subsidiary, Silvergate Bank, has posted its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2022. In the quarter, the company’s digital currency customers grew to 1,503, and its average digital currency customer deposits grew to $14.7 billion. According to the press release, Silvergate also closed the acquisition of select blockchain-based payment technology assets from the Diem Group, further enhancing its existing stablecoin infrastructure. The company’s President and CEO, Alan Lane, said:

 

"I’m particularly pleased with our first quarter results when you consider that this was one of the most challenging periods for the broader crypto ecosystem since the beginning of the pandemic. While volume on the Silvergate Exchange Network was impacted by broader industry trends, I remain encouraged by the continued growth we saw in customers, SEN Leverage commitments, and average deposits, which reached a record $14.7 billion. To advance our customer-first approach, we continued to invest in our strategic initiatives, including stablecoin infrastructure through the acquisition of select blockchain-based payment technology assets from the Diem Group, and the launch of the Euro SEN. I look forward to the rest of 2022 and I am excited for what lies ahead for Silvergate."

 

Graph Blockchain Inc. (CSE:GBLC) has announced recent operational updates for itself and its subsidiaries: New World, Coin Analyser and Niftable. Graph Blockchain itself has applied to launch a share buyback program. New World, an augmented reality art focused NFT company, has been working with football (soccer) star Ronaldinho on a joint NFT, set to launch in July. Graph Blockchain also reports that it’s continuing to work on the spin out of Coin Analyser, as well as an AI predictive model.

 

Blockmint Technologies Inc. (TSXV:BKMT) has shared an update on its Bitcoin (BTC) mining operation which started on December 3, 2021 with fifty new S19 Antminers at a third-party hosting facility in Washington state. Since then, the company has mined approximately 2.76 Bitcoins. Blockmint’s CEO Nelson Ijih, commented:

 

“We are pleased with the early results of our US-based Bitcoin mining operation which is powered by clean, green hydro-power. This crypto mining operation is complementary to our Minter browser which allows users to mine cryptocurrency to earn carbon credits or fractional interests in a NFT.
