Marathon Digital Holdings, Inc. (NasdaqGS:MARA) recently published its unaudited bitcoin (BTC) production and miner installation updates for June 2021. Highlights include the production of 265.6 newly-minted bitcoins during June 2021, which increased the company’s total bitcoin holdings “to approximately 5,784 with a fair market value of approximately $201.6 million.” Fred Thiel, Marathon’s CEO, said:

 

“May, June, and July are slower delivery months as the majority of our miners are expected to be delivered this fall. We are therefore taking advantage of this opportunity to proactively perform maintenance and upgrades on a portion of our existing containers and systems before delivery schedules accelerate and to prepare for the expected decrease in global hashrate. These preparatory actions resulted in some of our miners being offline during June, temporarily decreasing our hashrate. However, we still increased our bitcoin production month over month, and we are now better prepared to receive the large upcoming shipments and take advantage of expected favorable mining conditions.”

 

Blockchain Foundry Inc. (CSE:BCFN) has entered into a blockchain development agreement with Gifty, described in the press release as “a new venture by Evolve Media aimed at building a cryptocurrency and NFT gifting platform.” This will see Blockchain Foundry “build a solution design to develop the Gifty platform.” Tommy Maples, Evolve Media’s founder, said:

 

"In a space that is evolving so quickly, I was looking for the best partner to execute my vision for our cryptocurrency gifting platform. After interviewing multiple companies, Blockchain Foundry was the clear choice because of their deep understanding of the concept, their impressive track record, and the detail in which they were able to distill our ideas.”

 

Graph Blockchain Inc. (CSE:GBLC) has closed its acquisition of art-focused non-fungible tokens business New World Inc. NFTs, for those who might not be aware, are “unique files that live on a blockchain and are able to verify ownership of a work of digital art.” Andrew Ryu, Graph Blockchain’s Chairman, said:

 

"The attraction of NFT art is that it provides both artists and collectors entry to each other that did not exist 10 months ago. Previously obscure artists are seeing sales soar while amateur collectors grow their collections.”

 

Argo Blockchain (OTC:ARBKF) may be seeking to join the growing list of crypto companies to be listed on the Nasdaq, according to Cointelegraph. The company is eyeing the possibility of a secondary listing on the Nasdaq as part of its operational and strategic update. Argo noted that “There is no guarantee that the listing will be finalized,” and that “Any proposed listing is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the proposed listing may be completed.”
